PVLCP GOALS:

Educational goals of PVLCP are to offer opportunities for children to:

  • Grow spiritually through their awareness of God's world
  • Learn to use their muscles and senses with increasing control
  • Become aware of their own feelings and emotions as natural and acceptable and to learn to express them in constructive ways
  • Enjoy the company of other children, see themselves as individuals and grow in independence, self-confidence, and self-control
  • To explore books, dramatic play, art, music/movement and a variety of hands-on activities in order to sharpen their ability to observe, listen, follow directions and communicate while keeping a sense of wonder
  • PLAY AND HAVE FUN!!!

We strive to maintain a balanced awareness of the relationships between social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual growth.

DAILY ACTIVITIES:
The typical daily preschool schedule will include the following activities:

  • Chapel (1 day per week)
  • Circle Time
  • Story Time
  • Outside Play
  • Center Time
  • Music & Movement Class
  • Art Class (1 day per week)
  • Block Center (1 day per week)
  • Rest Time

COOPERATIVE COMMITMENTS OF PVLCP PARENTS:

  • Participate in Parent Orientation Night in August
  • Be a helping parent in your child's classroom on a rotating basis
  • Provide nutritious snacks for your child's class on a rotating basis
  • Help in the classroom as needed for special events
  • Serve on a parent committee for fundraisers or special events
  • Attend and provide transportation to field trips

The above required commitments are what set our program apart from most others in the Round Rock community.  PVLCP would not be the successful cooperative program that it is without the involvement of our families.  The cooperative program provides channels for communication so that the skills of teaching and of parenting may be refined, and the support and operation of the school may be accomplished.  We rely on every family to contribute its share in order that the school can offer the children a quality experience.  Our program is geared toward families that desire to be involved in their child's preschool experience.

Palm Valley Lutheran Cooperative Preschool is non-sectarian,
values variety and differences in background among its families,
and is deeply committed to the growth and education of children.
